AGE: 53.

LIVES IN: Riverside.

CSMR DUTY:  Training NCO for CSMR 1st Battalion, 1/185 Armor. Transferred to RSC—S for MEMS Academy (proctoring).

VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES: USO at Ontario Airport.

FAMILY: Married to wife, Annette, for 32 years. Two sons, Ivan Michael and Theodore Cruz (Army Pfc. who served in Iraq).

WHY JOIN THE CSMR: Missed the uniform and camaraderie.

PRIOR SERVICE: Six years in United States Marine Corps, including duty as a drill instructor. Four years in the U.S. Army, including duty as a CH-46 helicopter crew chief.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT CSMR: I like the challenge of never doing the same thing.

MILITARY HONORS AND AWARDS: 18, including Medal of Merit, Commanding General’s Meritorious Achievement Medal and three state service medals.
