WHY DID YOU JOIN THE CSMR? After completing 4 years Air Force JROTC, life took another direction. I found the CSMR while looking to join the California Army National Guard. After researching, this looked like the best option for me to serve.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT THE CSMR?  Field operations; I enjoy being part of a team performing challenging field training exercises and operations including the planning, executing, and reset. I have no words to describe the feeling when a Guard soldier deploys to combat, returns, and then says “thank you for helping bring me home and back to my family. The training you guys give us is life saving.” Although we don’t get paid, I honestly don’t know of any dollar amount that would come close to the value of those words.
